My beautiful christmas decor.

Fairy Lights
Christmas holly on tree.

Fairy lights and ornament

Beautiful holly covered in 'snow'.
As christmas approaches, I have been sat inside snuggled in blankets watching christmas films. Barbie and the nutcracker and the grinch are probably my favourites this year. Not to mention the beautiful music that plays on this festive season. Fairytales of New York is the best. Anyway, being stuck in all day has given me the chance to catch up on my photography portfolio. I am doing macro shots of things related to christmas. These are some of my pictures that I have taken. They vary from pictures of my real mini christmas tree (which I have to water) and my beautiful fairy lights. I also took some of my Nutcracker, which I love to bits.
My nutcracker bauble.

This isn't the best photo I have taken but it definitely engages interest. I like the composition and the way it varies from a clear focal point to a blurred out back. I love christmas, which is why I have decided to base my portfolio upon this time of year.

Nails💅.

Nails are practically my religion (in a personal sense). I always have to have decorated nails to feel completely comfortable. Lately I got some pretty pastel nails from the avon

As it's my birthday next month I've been wanting to get my nails done professionally-so I searched up some designs and it came down to three favourites.

1-
I like these nails as it so simple and yet so effective. It has a beautiful princess era about it and I would definitely consider wearing these for prom next year:-)

2-
These are very vintage nails from the sixties era. I like the pastel colours and the way they look so defined on the hand. These look a lot nicer with pale skin so I wouldn't recommend it for people like me who tan under a lightbulb.

3-

I like the cuteness of these. It reminds me of the beach and the summer. I like the contrast of pastel colours and stripes and I like how neat the lines are.

So there you go-a blog about nails. Sorry I haven't posted in a while- a lots been going on:-) hope you enjoy my blog x x x.

Light and shadow photography:-)

Over the past few months, I have developed an interest in photography. At the moment-in my course at school- we have been improving our knowledge of light and shadow photography. Here is a few pictures I found of the photographers 'Richard Vantielcke' light and shadow photography.

I like this as the shadow of the clock hand creatives a creative effect on the photo's light.

I like the mysterious vibe you get from this photo. It isn't as much as a shadow but the light seems to create an anonymous silhouette to develop a sense of mystery.

This is a very inventive creation. The shadow is sitting on what appears to be a chair. You can see the actual object and then the shadow sitting down when in reality, it is a chair and someone sitting down further away from the chair.

My camera:)

As you may know from my past blogs, I am ambitious to be a photographer. I am taking a course in my last year at school to learn and experience more in the photography era. Tonight I came across an app and decided to play around...
This blog is about how to capture a good photo and then you can maybe use it in your own blog or anywhere else:-)

A good picture mostly depends on the angle of the subject and wether it is going to be in landscape or portait view.

Landscape-

Portrait-

For example- a good photo could be taken at a straight aim. Point the camera directly towards the subject and you have your picture. If you want to experiment, you may even rather tilt the camera at a slight angle or move round to another side of the subject. This creates a creative image and shows imagination.

Another area of good photography depends on the 9x9 grid. Put the subject at rather one side or the other of the grid in your camera (or if you're feeling creative, try put it in one of the four corners) and snap the image. For example- this is a silhouette I took of a ballerina ornament in my room.

In advance, if you want to improve the image by adding something you could go on photoshop and maybe add a butterfly or a new background (I use photoshop cs5 from the MacBook Pro).

Thankyou for reading my blog and good luck in your foreseeable future in photography:-) hope you enjoyed x.

My dream bedroom🙆

This bedroom has me written all over it. It's so classy, comfortable and has an indie era about it. I like the minimalistic, adolescent style and the way it already feels like home.

August favourites🌝🌻.

As a teenager, cute indie outfits are my thing. I like to be comfortable and confident in what I wear and as long as I feel that way, I don't mind what others think. I've decided that even in summer, baggy jumpers still look amazing with a cute skirt to tuck it in with. So I searched up some images and found this which I think is totally perfect for my kind of outgoing outfits.
I like how the dark colours contrast against the background and how it's attractive but not too revealing. If you don't like showing too much skin then this outfit is perfect for you. I also have some august moisturisers that I've recently become absolutely obsessed with such as 'The Garden Collection' from Boots and 'Soap and Glory' which is also from Boots.
When you wear a skirt, you're missing one thing. The only shoe wear I really like wearing with a skirt is rather cute sneakers/trainers or wedges. This is why these shoes are perfect with the frilly socks and the cute dotted tights. It shows a classy yet vintage adolescent style and is something I would definitely wear for Summer.
